Last Night

This is the last night in America.

Can I believe it? No.

Again, another feeling one can only understand once you've been through what I have. This is why the 48 other Malaysians of whom I stepped onto the Land of the Free together are very special to me.

It is 11.23 pm and as I sit here on a bus back to Hilton Hotel, I just feel these rush of emotions. Having visited the Montana Senator, Malaysian embassy, and done a cultural dance performance in the same day, it's almost as if there's SO MUCH for us to absorb in one day.

I can't believe it has been six months. It's true - it has gone by SO fast and here we are, chattering with our friends or perhaps nodding off to sleep as we spend our last hours in the United States of America.

My eyelids are heavy and I don't feel like writing much but just felt compelled to pen this down, drawn to capture this moment...before it is gone. It is not every day that you are in a hotel ballroom surrounded by 550 people from the US, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Thailand, Phillippines, and India.

(: When exactly will I return to this interesting country, I do not know. But if it is God's will, if it is fate, and if only, if only...

I shall return. But for now, I must return to my home with these new skills and experiences. To share. To learn. To grow.

Goodbye America. Till we meet again (: I will miss you.
And thank you for touching my life. I am blessed.

Thank you Lord. Amen.
